AM Best, an independent rating agency, has affirmed Modern Woodmen of America’s A (Excellent) financial strength rating, with a stable outlook. This is the third highest of 13 ratings, assigned to companies that have an excellent ability to meet ongoing insurance obligations.
Best also affirmed Modern Woodmen’s a+ (Excellent) Issuer Credit Rating and stable outlook. The a+ rating is the fifth highest of 21 ratings.
These ratings were affirmed due to Modern Woodmen’s strong risk-adjusted capitalization, overall balance sheet strength, and a well-defined risk management program. Modern Woodmen also benefits from a diversified product portfolio across whole, term, and universal life, as well as fixed and variable annuities.
